NEW YORK SOUTH AREA AL-ANON ANNUAL APPEAL 2025

Dear Al-Anon/Alateen Family Groups (AFG’s) and Members of New York South Assembly Area (NYSAA),

According to our Seventh Tradition, “Al-Anon Family Groups are fully self-supporting.” Your group and individual contributions are vital to the support of the work within the New York South Assembly Area, which includes contributing financially to our four service levels: Districts, Al-Anon Information Services (AISs), NYSAA, and the World Service Office (WSO).

Your group or you may ask: “How are our contributions used in maintaining the New York South Area?” Great question. The donations received are allocated to various essential initiatives, including and not limited to:

1. Strengthening the links of service between NYSA Al-Anon groups and World Service
2. Holding three bilingual hybrid Assemblies per year
3. Increasing access and inclusion by providing translation of reports and simultaneous interpretation at Area meetings
4. Sending our Delegate to the Annual World Service Conference each Spring
5. Alateen: providing training, certification, and recertification to Al-Anon Members Involved in Alateen Service (AMIAS)
6. Maintaining the Area Website
7. Providing literature and volunteers for numerous public outreach events
8. Organizing Area workshops, town halls and conventions

We ask all groups and members to be as generous as possible. In order to be fully self supporting, we continue to rely on your generous contributions and are so grateful to those of you who have recently contributed.
